Overview

Complete turnkey camps from one manufacturer

Modular workforce accommodation is a complete turnkey camp solution built off-site as prefabricated modules and shipped to a remote tenement, where the modules are craned into place and linked into one camp. SCS Global manufactures the full system factory-direct from our Yixing, Jiangsu facility. Camps scale from 20-bed exploration deployments through 500+ bed operational sites, ship into our full mining camp accommodation range and run against the same compliance baseline as every other SCS module. One manufacturer. One production line. One point of accountability for the whole compound.

Specifications

Modular Mining Accommodation Specifications

Three module form factors: 20ft and 40ft ISO-base modules, plus 4m-wide custom panel modules linked into accommodation wings, mess complexes, and amenity blocks. Every module shares the same construction baseline: fully welded steel frame, insulated sandwich panel walls and roof, and split-system air conditioning.

Turnkey Delivery

Mining Camp Construction, Planning & Delivery

SCS delivers a turnkey camp in five stages: engineering design, factory build at Yixing, global shipping, on-site crane installation, and commissioning. Camp tiers run from 20 to 50 beds (pilot), 50 to 200 beds (mid-sized exploration or construction), and 200 to 500+ beds (large operational, often two-storey). Bed count drives ablution count at a 1:10 to 1:6 ratio under AS/NZS 3500. Kitchen and mess typically scale to one complex per 50 to 100 beds. SCS operates as a single-supplier camp builder, not a sector aggregator.

Logistics

Global Shipping Advantage

SCS ships modular workforce accommodation from Jiangsu to 17 countries. 20ft and 40ft modules transit under standard freight container handling with CSC plates, sea freight FCL to nominated port, then road or rail to the tenement. 4m-wide custom panel modules ship flat-pack or break-bulk. Common routes include Jiangsu to Port Hedland for the Pilbara, Jiangsu to Mackay for the Bowen Basin, Jiangsu to Jebel Ali for UAE and KSA, and Jiangsu to Singapore for SG dormitory programs. DDP terms available on every route.

Compliance

Regional Compliance

A camp's regulatory scope depends on where it lands. AU and NZ deployments run against NCC 2022, AS/NZS 1170.2 Region D cyclonic, AS/NZS 3000 electrical, AS/NZS 3500 plumbing, AS 3740 waterproofing, and the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 on WA tenements. Singapore adds MOM dormitory standards and BCA PPVC approval. Middle East procurements run against Estidama, Mostadam, and GSAS. Every camp ships against the SCS factory QA process with pre-shipment inspection reports issued per module.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Three questions procurement and operations ask most often about modular mining camps.

How long does it take to build a modular mining camp?

Build runs 8 to 16 weeks ex-Yixing depending on camp size, fit-out specification, and regional compliance scope. A 50-bed pilot camp sits at the short end; a 200-bed multi-amenity camp with Region D cyclonic engineering sits at the long end. Shipping and on-site install add another 4 to 8 weeks.

How many units does a typical mining camp need?

A 100-bed FIFO camp typically runs 20 to 25 sleeping modules, two ablution blocks, one kitchen and mess complex, one or two laundry containers, one guard house, one recreation room, and one first aid station. Module count scales linearly with bed count.

Can a modular mining camp be relocated?

Yes. ISO-base 20ft and 40ft modules ship as standard freight containers between sites under CSC plate. 4m-wide custom panel modules disassemble to flat-pack for road transport. Multi-mobilisation duty cycles of 10 to 25 years on primary deployment plus secondary relocations are standard.
