SCS Global respects your privacy. This policy describes what personal information we collect through shippingcontainers.net, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
SCS Global is a factory-direct shipping container manufacturer headquartered in Hong Kong, with manufacturing in Yixing, Jiangsu, China. We handle personal information in line with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and, for our Australian customers, the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy applies to enquiries from any country.
2. Information we collect
We collect the information you submit through our contact, quote request, and reseller application forms: your name, email address, phone number, company, country, and the project details you choose to share. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. We do not collect payment details through this website.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, scope and price quotes, deliver orders, and keep you informed about projects you have engaged us on. We also use aggregated analytics to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising. We do not send marketing email to people who have not contacted us first.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
This site does not set cookies of its own. We load Google Tag Manager, which runs measurement tags including Google Ads conversion tracking, and these Google services may set cookies in your browser to measure visits and advertising performance. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time and every part of this site will keep working. Details of how Google handles this data are in the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Spam protection
Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which filters automated spam so genuine enquiries reach our engineering team. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
6. Service providers
A small number of providers help us run the site and handle enquiries: Vercel (website hosting and server logs), Formspree (delivery of form submissions to our team), Google (Tag Manager, advertising measurement, reCAPTCHA, and web fonts), Cloudinary (image delivery), and jsDelivr (script delivery). When your browser loads the site, these delivery services receive your IP address as a normal part of serving files. Each provider processes data only as needed to provide its service.
7. Information sharing
Beyond the service providers above, we share your information only with parties directly involved in delivering your project: freight forwarders, classification surveyors, and regulatory bodies where certification or customs requires it. We never sell or rent personal information.
8. International transfers
SCS Global operates from Hong Kong and China, and the service providers above store data in the United States and other regions. Wherever your information is processed, it is covered by the commitments in this policy.
9. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and project records for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any project that follows, and afterwards only as required for legal, accounting, and warranty purposes. Records that are no longer needed are deleted.
10. Your rights and how to contact us
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, wherever you are located. 11. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices or providers change. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page.
